History

It was during the Great Pandemic of 2020 when the seeds of Geaux Golf sprouted and first saw the light of day. “Shelter in Place” was the mantra of that spring, and I, as did millions of others, had no choice but to stay home and stay healthy. Like everyone, I found myself with a lot of time, so along with copious amounts of bold java and other libations—with my Pitbull, Binion, and Morkey, Tango, by my side—I sat on my back porch in south Louisiana, overlooking the flowing waters of the Lower Atchafalaya River, and contemplated life and my role in it.

I had the idea of starting my own Golf Lifestyle company for some time, but during that spring—a prettier and more temperate season I cannot recall—I decided it was time to throw my hat in the ring…literally. I wanted a hat that I could wear with my family and buddies when I played golf, a hat that was comfortable yet stylish, and durable enough to survive the heat and sweat of a south Louisiana climate, a hat that could be worn by any golfer to make him/her feel good, but also one that would be affordable. So, Geaux Golf hats began to take shape.

I settled on a Trucker Hat style because of its wear-ability and “every-man” bona fides, not stuffy and pretentious, but welcoming and inclusive. Doesn’t matter if you shoot even par or triple digits, if you love golf, you are welcome to be a part of our family.
